Are you looking to create a beautiful home, with fresh colours to fit the changing seasons? Do you want to make chic, yet thrifty treasures that won’t break the bank? You have come to the right place! I aim to create easy DIYs that will make your friends ask, “where did you get that?” and then you can reply with, “I made it!”
Welcome and I’m thrilled you stopped by Paper Rose. I began this journey in blogging almost a year ago with the dream of creating art and sharing it with others. I always wanted to expand my artistic abilities to include painting with watercolour. But I was too scared to start for fear I would not be good enough or get too frustrated in the process. Or maybe I was scared that I would be good, and then what?
So I took the leap and enrolled in my first free course that was a daily practice of art with different tools and mediums. I soon took more courses and created a sketchbook full of pieces. I mostly was drawn to watercolour and hand lettering. The joy was there, it was the pleasure of making it available to others that would be my next goal.
At the same time I was creating art images, I was still sewing, crafting and making our new house into a home. I also enjoyed taking pictures of what I was creating. And with the love of sharing my creations with others, I decided to blog. It was important to make my DIY creations affordable, easy and pretty for my readers. Creating free printable art quickly became important in this journey to accompany a thrifty DIY.
